The book, which explores themes of resilience, tradition, and modernity, was unveiled at a well-attended signing event that highlighted the growing prominence of Emirati literature on the global stage.

    The launch was part of the ongoing Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF), the region’s largest literary event, held at the Expo Centre Sharjah. Running until November 17, 2024, SIBF has attracted a diverse array of global authors, publishers, and literary enthusiasts, offering a platform for cultural exchange and intellectual engagement. With a rich program of discussions, workshops, and book signings, the event underscores Sharjah’s role as a hub for the arts and literature in the Middle East.

    In a gesture of cultural solidarity, the event was attended by Egyptian author Yaser Anas, whose latest book, How Egypt Can Become a Superpower, has been widely acclaimed for its visionary take on national progress. Anas met with Al Mansoori to discuss their respective works, exchanging ideas on storytelling and its role in shaping cultural and societal narratives.

    During their meeting, the two authors exchanged signed copies of their books in a symbolic act of mutual respect and cross-cultural appreciation. Al Mansoori expressed admiration for Anas’s work, noting its insightful approach to leadership and development in Egypt.     South Korea auto exports reach $6.24 billion in July

    Eco-friendly vehicles provided the strongest lift to South Korea’s auto exports during the month. Their export value increased 25.5% from a year earlier to US$2.59 billion. Electric and hydrogen vehicle exports rose 31.9% to US$940 million. Hybrid exports advanced 22.2% to US$1.65 billion. By contrast, exports of internal combustion engine vehicles fell 3.1% to US$3.65 billion. Eco-friendly models accounted for about 41.5% of the country’s total automobile export value in July.
